It is so cool to see someone else buy all the weird things that I buy when on holiday. Postcards and cards and paper and art stuff – the essentials for travel shopping. Hope you enjoy your dinner xx Michelle

Such an amazing shot. Sends me straight into a daydream.
By the way, we do need to see everything you bring back from your daily adventures. Also, this is soooo much fun!

Sounds like you (we) had a fabulous day!!! So so exciting. Such a lovely scene. Looks kinda like an end of the day quiet. Can hardly wait to see what you do playing with all your new purchases. Thinking of you while you have dinner. Sweet dreams.
Leanne says
what is that dreamy building that you shared a photo of?

What a spectacular photography! It is breath taking. Now, Mary Ann, you go girl – totally in awe with all the goodness you filled your arms with while out and about today. Such loveliness. I am IN LOVE with that pop up postcard. Way cool for your journal. You have made this adventure so much fun for me – Man I love traveling with you!

Yes, we need to see what you bought. Wish I could send you money and you could buy us “stuff” too but since you could never begin to carry that heavy load, we shall enjoy seeing your “stuff”. This is so much fun, you make me feel like I am there with you. This experience is so worth the money and I haven’t even seen the book video’s cause I am susposed to be taking care of Christmas.Oh well, I have a day or so to think about that. I’ll think of you eating, can’t wait to hear about that, yum.

Love seeing you open up your treasure and showing them to us. I can’t wait to see how you use them in your journal. This is the most fun class EVER, Mary Ann!

If that yummy looking rice/ motzarella wonder was a snack…I would go to Venice just to eat! I need to go have my dinner! LOVE all your wonderful purchases…and I am so jealous you can travel at the holidays. Keep having fun!
kas says
You are the cutest person on earth MAM!
Stephen du Toit says
VERY jealous that you got to the Fortuny Museum – that man was a genius. I think your big nib that looks like a fork is for drawing music staves, all 5 lines at a time, but I’m sure you will do something weird and wonderful wih it!
Glenda says
This is so much fun. It feels like I am back in Venice with you.

I just unstuck my fingers (bit of a drama gluing on my cover) and am so disappointed to learn that Venetian cats are SNOOTY. What do you mean, they don’t go outside, that is simply unnatural. There has to be a big black tom cat named Romeo lurking around the fish market. I suggest you find a fish market and make Italian meow sounds…just say ciao in a really high voice…and don’t forget to video tape yourself. Loving every minute of our travels. Just a side note, your head looked like it was floating all by itself in the video as your turtleneck acted like a green screen. But, I knew your head was still firmly attached to the rest of you. Or at least to your hands. TTFN

GRAZIE MILLE per le cartolini postale from the Fortuny Museum! I am so thrilled you actually got inside! Just thrilled!! Thank you so much! I feel like I am one step closer to getting in myself!
Loving your videos & hearing first hand, where you’ve been.
The “fork” nib is for drawing staff lines for music but will become something new & inventive in your hand. The Focaccia Veneziana is the Venetian version of panettone. Panettone, often made with nuts and dried fruit, is made for Natale and sold all over Italia per “le feste.”
If I can’t be in Venezia with you, at least I am in New York, my favorite American city. I never have enough time here. Dinner tonight with Bea & E, brunch tomorrow with Ken & family on upper west side. We were walking around the lower East Side today and in & out of stores in NoLo and the Bowery where we went in the New Museum. Keith Haring’s apt. front door was on display with lots of The Ramones’ stuff in an exhibit on Bowery art & artists on 5th flr. Gorgeous view from top floor.
Here’s to you & your gorgeous view, S.

Absolutely adore seeing you pull all your purchases from their bags and share them with us. Drooooling, as it’s usually the same sort of stuff I cart home with me. So look forward to your daily post. This was a brilliant idea Mary Ann … and so much fun. See you later today. Postcards? 12 out of 10. xoDonna

I LOVE seeing what you buy, and hearing about your day’s adventures! It is thrilling to see what you will pull out of your magic bag NEXT! I hope you manage to get into the special paper store, I love the Italian papers…
Loved hearing about the store where the woman was making books with her big glue pot, too. I can’t wait to make my own way to Venice!
Pat P says
Of Course we want to see what you buy, silly girl!!

you are just so darn cute

That’s the basilica where the monks chant! With all the church art in Venice, you hardly need a museum. Unless, of course it’s modern art you are drawn to. Loving your posts….you go girl!

If you take the vaporetto to Burano you will see lots of cats there. Lovely to see black cats sitting among the colourful houses.
Jane Bumar says
Yes we love seeing in the bag; I’d have bought the fork too, then scratched my head as to what to do with it! But really, how can any reasonable woman resist a fork pen. The pen is mightier than the fork…etc 😉
Diana says
I seriously have a PERM-A-GRIN on my face during all of your videos! Thanks so much for such a fun and wonderful class. Safe Travels 🙂
